- 75 Canadian dollars$75
Let's get our hands in some dye pots! In this hands-on 4 hour workshop you will learn the basics of resist dyeing to create beautiful patterns on fabric with indigo dye and marigold dye. We’ll discuss setting up the indigo vat, the marigold dye bath and how-to prepare materials for dyeing. By the end of class, we will finish the dye process and you will be amazed as the stunning one-of-a-kind patterns are unfolded and revealed! Four 19” square organic cotton napkins will be provided for dyeing and other dyeable items, such as organic cotton bandanas, cotton handkerchiefs, linen scrunchies and various thrifted natural fibre clothing items will be available for purchase and additional dyeing. This can often times be messy, so wearing clothes that you wouldn’t mind getting stained is encouraged! This workshop is open to ages 10 and over. Note on cancelations: *Workshop registration fees are non-refundable. If you need to cancel your workshop, you can use your credit towards a different class date or towards items in the online shop. *There is no fee to switch your class as long as we are given 7 days or more notice. With less than 7 days notice, up until the day before your class begins, there is a $20+HST class transfer fee to switch your class. *If you are cancelling the day your class starts, or after your class has begun, we can still move your registration, however at this point the transfer fee will be $35+HST. *If you need to cancel or switch your class, please email us at email@example.com (notice is counted from the time you send an email).
